Concept note

Fire in the mind

The essence of J. Krishnamurti's “fire in the mind” is that observation without evaluation releases a creative energy that breaks conditioned patterns. This awareness burns away the “smoke” of past conditioning, worry, and time, allowing insight and intelligence to operate spontaneously. In this spirit, The Conscious Republic, in partnership with VFSTR, attempts to set up a lab that serves in creating a culture of serious public reasoning through dialogue, reflection, interdisciplinary inquiry, and civic engagement. This will be an opportunity to expand the thinking horizon of students and establish a university's repute in intellectual communities.

The primary aim is to encourage critical thinking, respectful dialogue and a deeper understanding of the world around us.
